Imagine a family waking up each day with no food in their home. Imagine parents skipping meals so their children can eat — or worse, children going to bed hungry night after night. For thousands of families in Karachi, this is not imagination. It is daily reality.
Food is a basic human need. Without regular, nutritious meals, children struggle to grow, parents struggle to work, and entire communities are pushed deeper into poverty.
“He is not a believer who fills his stomach while his neighbour goes hungry.”
(Hadith – Sahih al-Bukhari)
Karachi is home to millions of people living in extreme poverty. Rising food prices, unemployment, and unstable daily wages have left many families unable to afford even one proper meal a day.
For many families, a hot, cooked meal is out of reach.
Arsh Foundation runs a Cooked Food Programme in Karachi, providing freshly prepared, nutritious meals to the most vulnerable members of society.

Your Sadaqah and Zakat are fully applicable to this project and go directly towards feeding those in need.

Cooked meals are provided to poor and vulnerable people, including underpaid daily wage workers, widows, orphans, elderly individuals, and families who cannot afford regular meals. These are people who work hard but earn too little to meet basic food needs.
All cooked food under this project is distributed exclusively in Karachi, Pakistan, where poverty and food insecurity affect thousands of families every day.
Meals are distributed regularly throughout the month, depending on need and available funding. Our aim is to reach as many hungry individuals as possible with consistent support.
We provide freshly prepared, nutritious, ready-to-eat meals that meet basic dietary needs. Meals are cooked locally and distributed while fresh to ensure quality and dignity.
Our local teams in Karachi identify families and individuals through community assessment and local knowledge, ensuring support reaches those most in need, including underpaid workers and households with unstable income.
