Qurbani Project

Qurbani (Sacrifice) is an essential act of worship in Islam, performed during Eid ul Adha to commemorate the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his willingness to sacrifice his son for the sake of Allah. It is a symbol of submission, gratitude, and sharing blessings with those in need.

Giving Qurbani is obligatory for every Muslim who is financially capable.

In Pakistan, millions of people live below the poverty line and cannot afford to enjoy meat even once a year.


Arsh Foundation is committed to ensuring that these deprived families also partake in the joy of Eid ul Adha. Through our Qurbani Project, we arrange animal for the sacrifice and distribute the meat among the needy, bringing smiles to countless faces.

“The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked, ‘What is Qurbani?’

He replied, ‘It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (AS).’
(Sunan Ibn Majah 3127)

Who Should Perform Qurbani?

  • Obligatory (Wajib) – For every adult Muslim who is financially capable (possesses Nisab).
  • One Sacrifice per Person – Every eligible adult must offer their own Qurbani.

Types of Qurbani Animals

  1. Goat or Sheep – For one person.
  2. Cow or Camel – Can be shared by seven people.
  3. Age Requirements – Goat/Sheep (1 year), Cow (2 years), Camel (5 years).
  4. Health and Quality – The animal should be healthy, without defects, and meet Islamic standards.

“For every hair of the Qurbani, you receive a reward from Allah.”
(Tirmidhi 1493)

The Process

At Arsh Foundation, we select the best animals for your Qurbani, according to the injunctions of the Sunnah. The cattle are obtained after surveying multiple markets. Our hardworking team makes sure the cattle are well cared for and healthy.

On the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah, all the animals are sacrificed under strict supervision and Arsh Foundation team heads on their way to distribute the freshly butchered meat to those in need. Orphaned children, women and the elderly are prioritized.
